Blue Telescope developed This is NPR, a mobile website designed to provide rich digital media to visitors at National Public Radio’s new headquarters in Washington, DC.

The building's publicly accessible lobby includes exhibits about NPR and its mission, including a detailed graphic timeline of NPR’s history. Icons embedded in the timeline's text call out linked media; visitors can enter the icon numbers into the mobile site to hear accompanying audio clips, including oral histories and excerpts from significant broadcasts.

The website was developed specifically for mobile devices, and implements a responsive layout which adjusts automatically to tablets and larger devices. The NPR-branded site incorporates over 100 audio clips, and a simple back-end content management system allows clips to be added and edited as the exhibit progresses.
